The internet is abuzz with a rumored gondola system coming to Walt Disney World. According to this article, the Gondolas would link the Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century, and Art of Animation with Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
While we think the gondolas have some curb appeal, we’re just a tiny bit cynical about how it will work in practice…
I call BS on the “Pay $20 for every child owned” card. Everybody knows that the board game where you collect children is the Game of Life, not Monopoly.
Yes, but with the Gondola system, incompetence is to be expected!
I thought this was a Parkeology idea at first… How can this be taken seriously? Unless it’s a clever* idea to get people to embark/disembark through a gift shop?! Now, where did we put those M.O.P.S plushes…
*rubbish
Are you implying that Parkeology ideas cannot be taken seriously?! We are mortified. And I suppose it’s back to the drawing board with our ultra-cool stork delivery system for park merchandise…
Clever. Gave me a good smile this morning.
Just a good smile??? Anything less than full out belly laugh is just not good enough. I will go back to the drawing board.
Well, since you apparently didn’t like my idea of a recurring “People of WDW” series along the lines of those “People of Walmart” posts, may I suggest a post on old Disney movies that would’ve been good to make into rides. For example, “The Apple Dumpling Gang” would’ve fit nicely in Frontier Land. People would’ve waited in line for hours to see a Don Knotts AA figure. “George of the Jungle” was made for Adventure Land. And, of course, a perfect ride for Tomorrow Land would’ve been… yep, you guessed it… “The Black Hole.” Can you imagine what a mint condition Ernest Borgnine action figure would sell for these days?
Greg, you know we are always a fan of your Apple Dumpling Gang / Black Hole ideas. Those have mega-hit written all over them!
